
4 tornadoes swept across southeast Michigan Saturday evening
The National Temperature Support in White Lake Township verified that four tornadoes strike southeast Michigan on Saturday evening.
3 were rated EF-1, which is the 2nd weakest on the scale. This triggers average destruction, like broken tree branches, little trees uprooted and shingles pulled off roofs, NWS meteorologist Megan Varcie explained.

In a tweet Monday afternoon, NWS verified an EF- twister in Port Austin, which started at 4:36 p.m. Saturday and lasted 14 minutes. Winds achieving 80 mph brought down an outbuilding and ruined a soybean crop area, trees and a fence line, in accordance to the agency.
The second tornado strike at 6:21 p.m. in Flushing with winds achieving 100 mph. This lasted till 6:26 p.m. Garage doorways, trees and crops were being amid the victims of this twister.

Tornadoes hit Armada in Macomb County and White Lake Township in Oakland County at 7:54 p.m. NWS verified 1 injury from the White Lake twister, which arrived at 100 mph. NWS claimed that a garage doorway was ripped off in this storm.
The Armada twister lasted 12 minutes with peak winds at 105 mph. Varcie claimed just one home missing all its roofing with some upper walls collapsing.
“The ingredients on Saturday were being favorable for severe climate,” Varcie stated.
In White Lake, Jesse and Tammy Covill noticed the twister rip via their dwelling Saturday night.
“The twister essentially peeled the shingles off the top of the property,” Jesse, 53, mentioned.
Three trees also slammed into the driveway, and Jesse claimed his family’s 5 autos have been harmed, with 3 however buried below.

“We do get rather a little bit of serious weather conditions in southeast Michigan … In conditions of tornadoes, those are a bit extra rare,” Varcie reported.
